Precautions when assembling distillation unit:
1.The position of the flask should be selected first, and then the other instruments should be connected successively based on it
2. The cork used must be of proper size and tightly assembled to prevent steam leakage during distillation, which may cause product loss or fire accident.
3.Avoid direct contact between iron and glass instrument to prevent the instrument from being broken. The iron clip used must be padded with asbestos cloth, rubber, etc. The iron clamp shall be installed on the back of the instrument, above the distillation bottle branch pipe and in the central part of the condenser pipe.
4.The distillation unit under normal pressure must be connected with the atmosphere.
5. When several sets of distillation devices are installed on the same experimental table and the distance between them is relatively close, the relative position of each two sets of devices must be either the distillation flask to the distillation flask, or the receiver to the receiver, so as to avoid that the distillation flask of one set of device is closely adjacent to the receiver of another set of device, so there is a risk of fire.
